Snippan

Snippan by Åsa Jungnelius is part of the Kosta Boda Artist Collection. In this version Åsa Jungnelius’ modern classic is smaller, more accessible design for interiors – it is a sculpture, but it is also a bowl, a carrier. Snippan is cast in a graphite mold at the hotshop in Kosta and painted with liquid platinum. Åsa Jungnelius’ modern classic, Snippan, is now being presented in a smaller design that can also be used as a bowl. Since it was first created in 2003, Snippan has become a contemporary feminist symbol that has recurred in different forms and formats in Jungnelius’ art, for example, in countless table settings – a work that Jungnelius describes as a social act. The sculpture is included in Nationalmuseum’s collection as the “mothership” of the work Your hair is so pretty!
