They serve to beautify convivial occasions from hors d'oeuvres - a delicate consommé perhaps - to dessert, showcasing compositions of fresh fruit, ice cream or custard. The innovative design, built from the foundation of Giovanni Gariboldi's iconic Colonna shape, allows the piece to function alone as a small bowl, or, when combined with the butter dish of any color from the same line, as a lidded sugar bowl to enhance the coffee or tea ritual.
